Our Story

We are an Australian owned family company with extensive experience in the funeral industry. In our current form, we’re a young company, but our history in caring for Sydney’s families at life’s most difficult time is decades old. The work that we do is our passion, not just a business.

Life Celebration Funerals is our response to the way the world has changed, especially in the last 20 years. We provide a better way to deal with the loss in your life than traditional, ritualistic ceremonies.

Our extensive experience and modern approach will guaranteed you a genuine celebration of life – a celebration that honours your special person, their individuality, their beliefs and the life they lived.

A Life Celebration Funeral gives you choice and meets your needs. You choose choice of venue, choice of time, choice in personal touches – choices that go to the heart of celebrating your special person and making them the focus of the farewell.

A true celebration of life is the best way to help you, your family and your friends to make sense of your loss and find meaningful ways of dealing with it.

Every person on our team – Funeral Directors, Funeral Arrangers, Celebrants and support staff – has extensive experience in the funeral industry. But that’s not all they’re chosen for. We choose our staff for their commitment to celebrating lives well lived and their ability to support you through your loss.

Our founder’s family started in Sydney’s funeral industry in 1950, when it was a “calling” – not just an industry. This was the beginning of a tradition of compassionate service to families at their time of need that we continue today as Life Celebration Funerals.

Today we specialize in funerals that reflect life as we live it in the 21st century – creating and delivering celebrations that are flexible in time, place and structure.

We guide and support families and communities as they say farewell to their loved ones with unique ceremonies that create true closure. Our celebrations are spaces for music, love laughter and celebration as well as grief and loss.

We’ve responded to today’s need for farewell celebrations that make sense in a multi-cultural, non-religious, highly individualistic world. We’ve successfully conducted funerals in backyards, in footy clubs, in parks and at the beach.

We help our clients say goodbye in their own special ways, based on their culture, their communities and the lives their loved ones led.
